We’re excited to welcome Karlamaría Torres to our Learning Team as a Co-op Coach. Karla comes to CFNE with diverse experience across various industries, including: education, legal technical assistance, translation, and events. She is dedicated to economic justice and finds a home at CFNE, where her purpose and passions converge.
In this role, Karla will directly support CFNE’s efforts to build the cooperative support ecosystem for BIPOC and immigrant-led cooperatives throughout the northeast by:
- Providing 1-on-1 and group coaching on topics like business planning, financial projections, and operational pivots
- Developing and distributing co-op education content
- Working closely with partner organizations to provide additional timely and culturally appropriate support
Karla’s focus is on supporting Spanish-speaking cooperators and emerging co-op entrepreneurs. She holds a BA in Modern Languages, along with studies in Theater and Online Business Development. Learn more about Karla on our personnel page.
