We are thrilled to announce an exciting new member of CFNE’s staff. Please join us in welcoming her!
Maggie Maiorana starts this week with CFNE in the role of Program Associate. She joins our Technical Assistance team to support their work, helping groups to navigate the world of cooperative enterprise through coaching, connections, and content.
Based in Maine, Maggie has previously worked in public schools, farms, and nonprofits with a focus on advancing social and racial justice. Originally from Michigan, Maggie received her BA in Human Ecology along with a Maine Teaching Certificate from College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbor, Maine. She later received a Higher degree in Fine Art through the Post-Baccalaureate program at Burren College of Art in Ireland. Living in the Lewiston/Auburn community of Maine since 2015, she has invested her time in place-based solutions through teaching, community organizing, and facilitation.
Before joining the CFNE team, Maggie started a new branch of Youth LED Justice in her city. Serving as Regional Program Director, she used restorative justice processes to divert young people away from further entrenchment in the Juvenile Justice System. Maggie is invested in supporting economic justice in Maine and beyond, particularly for those who have faced structural barriers in accessing funds and attaining economic security.
